The Goats
Meet Blossom and Maple
Two personalities, one unforgettable experience. Our Nubian does are curious, gentle, and unafraid of strangers — which is exactly what makes them so wonderful to spend time with.
Maple
Maple is our brown Nubian kid — bold, inquisitive, and always the first to investigate anything new. She will press her velvet nose right into your palm the moment she thinks a treat might be involved. Maple embodies everything the Nubian breed is known for: expressive floppy ears, a lively personality, and a fearless openness to human connection.
Blossom
Blossom is our white Nubian kid — gentle, sweet-natured, and endlessly patient with visitors of all ages. She loves being brushed and will lean into a good scratch behind the ears. Blossom is a favorite with younger children and a living example of how affectionate this breed truly is when raised with daily human contact and care.

Your Visit
What to Expect When You Arrive
Every goat experience is private and unhurried. Here is how a typical visit unfolds from the moment you walk through the gate.
Arrival at the Goat Pen
Your farm host meets you at the entrance and walks you directly to the goat pen. Before you even reach the gate, you will hear them — Nubian goats are vocal, sociable animals and they tend to announce new arrivals with enthusiasm. Your host will orient you and let you know what to expect before you step inside.
The Goats Come to You
Unlike many farm animals that need to be coaxed, our Nubian goats are genuinely curious about people. Blossom and Maple, along with our adult does, will approach on their own terms — and usually within seconds. Your host will guide you on how to greet them calmly and let them settle into your presence before the feeding begins.
Feeding and Petting
Guests are given approved farm treats to feed directly from the hand. Your host explains what the goats eat, how much they eat, and the nutritional routines that keep them healthy. Between treats, you are welcome to pet and brush the goats — something most guests find unexpectedly calming and memorable.
Meeting the Kids (When in Season)
When baby kids are present on the farm, they are part of the experience. Baby Nubian kids are energetic, playful, and full of personality — and most guests find them to be an absolute highlight of the visit. Availability is seasonal, so we recommend checking at the time of booking whether kids will be on the farm during your visit.
Learning About the Breed
Throughout the experience, your host shares information about Nubian goats — where the breed originated, what makes their milk special, how they behave socially, and what their daily life on the farm looks like. It is education woven naturally into the time you spend with them, not a classroom lecture.
Optional: Learn to Milk
Guests who add the Milk the Goats experience ($14.99 per person) stay a little longer to work one-on-one with a Nubian doe. Your host teaches proper hand-milking technique and guides you through the process from start to finish. You will leave with a real understanding of why Nubian milk is considered some of the richest dairy milk produced by any goat.
